The 5AP1130.101D-000 panel is manufactured by B&R Automation within the 5AP Single Touch Automation Panels series. It is a flat-mounted operator interface that combines a widescreen display with capacitive touch input, enabling machine builders to present process graphics and register user commands without external keyboards or pushbuttons. The unit fits control cabinets that require an integrated HMI designed for continuous operation in industrial automation.
Visual performance comes from a TFT color screen that renders 16.7 million colors on a display with a diagonal measurement of 10.1 in. The native resolution is 1920 × 1200 px, providing a sharp display of alarms, trends, and menus. The panel uses an LED backlight with a half-brightness life of 40,000 hours, and its contrast ratio of 800:1 maintains legibility under varied ambient lighting. Projected capacitive sensing provides multipoint detection through protective glass. The touchscreen uses projected capacitive technology (PCT), so operators can activate commands while wearing thin gloves. The panel measures 279 mm in width and 191 mm in height, allowing installation in compact cabinet doors. A rear enclosure rating of IP20 protects the interior surfaces after the bezel is secured.
The electrical section operates from a 24 VDC control supply and draws up to 5.5 A at full backlight intensity and high processing load. The die-cast front is sealed to IP65, allowing the touchscreen to resist dust and water jets when mounted in the machine fascia. Air bonding between the cover glass and the active matrix reduces internal reflections and supports stable touch accuracy during temperature changes. The sealed front supports installation in washdown areas, while the protected rear remains suitable for installation inside a control cabinet.
