Product Description:
The 5ACPCI.RAIC-03 is a PCI form factor. It is part of B & R Automation's 5AC CNC Addon Modules. It can handle 8 (eight) analogue input channels. It has a resolution of 16 bits and can take inputs between 0 and 10 volts or 4 and 20 milliamps. It works best between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius (32° F to 140° F and 273.15 K to 333.15 K). The 5ACPCI.RAIC-03 is a strong industrial RAID controller module designed for applications that need to store and handle data safely. This device has two hard discs, which means it can handle RAID levels 0 and 1 and provide both data redundancy and performance. Users may set up the module for either greater data throughput (RAID 0) or data mirroring for better fault tolerance (RAID 1).
This makes it suited for mission-critical applications where data integrity and system uptime are very important. The SiI 3512 SATA link controller is the most important part of the 5ACPCI.RAIC-03. It works with Serial ATA 1.0 and can transport data at speeds up to 1.5 Gbit/s (150 MB/s). The controller has a BIOS extension ROM that takes up around 32 kB and supports a broad variety of transfer modes, such as PIO 0-4, multiword DMA 0-2, and UDMA 0-5.
This makes it compatible with many host systems and use cases. Each integrated hard disc has a capacity of 160 GB, spins at 5400 rpm (±1%), and has an 8 MB cache that makes it easy to retrieve data. The drives use S.M.A.R.T. technology to forecast when they will fail, and they have an average access time of 5.56 ms and a minimum positioning time of 1.5 ms (track to track).
