The 5AC901.LSDL-00 module is produced by B & R Automation for integration into the 5AC CNC Addon Modules series. It occupies a single slot on the CNC backplane and provides a dedicated video and peripheral link so that the main motion controller can drive decentralized operator panels without additional conversion hardware. Within a machining cell this board serves as the physical layer that carries screen content and user input data between the cabinet and a panel PC, reducing cable count and simplifying electromagnetic compatibility planning.

The communication channel is based on the SDL/DVI bus, while the signal group on the external connector follows the DVI-D variant, meaning only digital video is present on the link. During operation the board dissipates just 1 W, an attribute that keeps the thermal load inside densely packed control enclosures low. Reliable service is specified for ambient temperatures from 0 to 55 °C; this allows the module to function directly beside power drives that may raise local air temperature.
