The 5AC600.CFSI-00 module is produced by B&R Automation for the 5AC CNC Addon Modules series. Installed beside motion and I/O boards on a 5AC rack, it adds removable mass storage so recipes, system images, and diagnostic logs can be loaded or retrieved without disassembling the primary CPU. Because the storage medium is removable, archived programs and machine data can be transferred without opening the main processor assembly or disturbing neighboring modules. This gives the CNC platform a simple way to move operational data between machines or backup media. It also supports faster format changes and routine preventive service because the card can be prepared separately from the controller.

At the electrical interface, the board exposes a CompactFlash socket that links directly to the internal IDE bus, allowing industry-standard flash cards to be read and written by the real-time operating system.
