This kit is sold as a Hard Disk Conversion Kit, which means the assembly includes the drive, mounting hardware, and cabling needed to adapt legacy slots to modern disks. The storage electronics are carried on an Insert Card, so the unit slides into the designated rack location without back-plane disassembly. During operation, the drive withstands shocks up to 150 G, 2 ms and vibrations of 1 G, 5 to 400 Hz, which helps protect the recording mechanism in moving equipment. Once installed, the controller recognizes a formatted capacity of 6 GB for process data and system images.
