The 5A2 Floppy Disk Drives series is a family of external 3.
5-inch disk drive units designed for use with B&R Provit 5000 and Provit 5600 industrial PC systems. The series provides 1.44 MB floppy disk support in a housed format intended for control panel installation, allowing removable media access to be integrated directly at the machine interface. Connection to the host system is made through a standard Centronics cable and a 25-pin DSUB interface, with supported cable lengths up to 1.8 meters. The units are built for industrial installation conditions with compact mounting dimensions, low power consumption, and operating limits suitable for enclosure use in a 0 to 55°C environment. Available configurations include beige and black front versions, along with optional accessories such as a lockable front door with IP55 front-side protection and a mounting plate for adding operator entry devices.
