The 4XP0101.00-00W keypad module is manufactured by B&R Automation within the 4XP Keypad Modules series. It provides a sealed push-button interface with multicolor indication for programmable controllers. The sealed front interface lets operators issue start, stop, or acknowledgment commands directly at the machine instead of relying on a separate cabinet-mounted control point during routine operation locally. Its compact format suits tools, packaging frames, and process skids that need reliable local operator input while preserving panel space.
On the front, the device achieves IP65, so its elastomer buttons resist dust and wash-down spray. It operates from 24 VDC ±25%, which also powers the integrated illumination. Operators use 8 discrete keys, and communication runs over the X2X bus in slave mode through an 8-pin male multipoint connector. The housing remains slim at 52 mm high and 40.4 mm deep, helping the unit fit crowded control surfaces.
