The 4XP0043.00-00B is a keypad module produced by B & R Automation within the 4XP Keypad Modules series. Designed as an operator input panel, it provides direct tactile control for machine functions and is intended for mounting on the front of control cabinets or operator stations. In automated lines, it serves as the human-machine interface, allowing commands to be triggered or alarms to be acknowledged without using a full touch display. This helps simplify panel layout and reduce wiring complexity in compact control systems.

The module receives a nominal supply of 24 VDC, and it continues to operate across a voltage window of ±25%, allowing tolerance to common bus fluctuations. The front side has a protection rating of IP65, so dust-tight sealing and resistance to low-pressure water jets are maintained when the unit is installed with its gasket. Communication with the controller is handled through the X2X slave interface, which transmits key states and LED feedback over the real-time fieldbus.
