The 4XP0000.00-K76 keypad module is produced by B&R Automation as part of the 4XP Keypad Modules series. It serves as a compact operator station for industrial automation systems, combining six illuminated ring keys with an integrated emergency-stop switch so that machine functions, acknowledgments, and safety shutdowns can be issued directly from the field. It attaches to a decentralized I/O architecture through the X2X slave interface and is intended for mounting on enclosures or arm systems where a dedicated HMI is not required.
The module operates from a nominal supply of 24 VDC, drawing up to 320 mA and consuming no more than 8 W, allowing it to be powered from standard control-cabinet auxiliaries without overloading low-current feeds. Communication is handled over the X2X Slave bus, and a 4-pin M12 connector is provided so that cabling can be installed with IP-rated quick-disconnects. Both the front and back surfaces carry an IP65 rating, so the electronics remain protected against dust ingress and water jets when the unit is mounted on a machine door. Safety signaling is provided through two normally closed emergency-stop contacts that route directly to the controller.
The keypad enclosure measures 77 mm wide, 175 mm high, and 86 mm deep, yet it weighs only 600 g, so it can be clamped on light pendant brackets without placing excessive load on the support arm. The housing includes 6 ring keys, and the LEDs behind them can be set to red, green, yellow, or white to provide immediate status feedback. A maximum cable length of 100 m can separate this unit from the X2X master, which suits large conveyor lines and extended machine layouts. The emergency-stop pushbutton uses the Rafix 22FS 1.30.273.511/0300 model, supporting mechanical compatibility with standard safety designs.
