Application variables, buffers, and graphics are held in 256 MB of DDR2 DRAM, and long-term files reside in 2 GB eMMC flash memory. The flash device supports up to 20,000 program-erase cycles and a cumulative 40 TB of written data, so software updates and logging can occur for years without reaching endurance limits. Because heat is minimized by fanless cooling, the electronics fit into a 276 × 172 × 51 mm housing that typically dissipates 14.5 W while powered from the machine's 24 VDC rail.
