The 4PPC70.101G-21B is an operator panel manufactured by B & R Automation for the 4PPC Power Panels series. It combines an integrated touchscreen, controller, and network interfaces so that a single unit can visualize processes, execute control logic, and exchange real-time data with field devices. In a machine cell or production line, the unit controls local I/O and servos while presenting status screens to operators, thereby reducing cabinet space and wiring compared with separate PLC and display hardware.
The 10.1-inch TFT color display renders graphics at 1024 × 600 (WSVGA), and a luminance of 500 cd/m² keeps images legible under factory lighting. A contrast ratio of 500:1 supports clear differentiation between active and inactive objects on screen. The system is powered by an Intel Atom E620T processor that runs at a 333 MHz clock frequency, providing deterministic execution for user tasks and communication stacks. Program data and buffers reside in 256 MB of DDR2 DRAM, while 32 kB of FRAM stores retentive variables without requiring a battery. Standard interfaces include POWERLINK, Ethernet, X2X, two USB ports, and dual CAN channels, permitting direct connection to drives, sensors, and service tools without additional gateways.
