Product Description:
The 4PPC70.101G-20B Power Panel is built by B&R Automation as part of the 4PPC Power Panels series. It merges control processing and machine visualization into a single unit intended for mounting in the operator station of packaging, printing, or assembly equipment. By hosting the runtime system locally, the panel reduces cabinet space and shortens signal paths between the user interface and the field devices it steers through real-time networks.
Its computing core is an Atom E620T processor clocked at 333 MHz, which is sufficient for PLC cycle times in the low millisecond range. Graphics are presented on a 10.1 in TFT that renders at 1024 x 600 pixels, giving clear status dashboards and alarm lists. The operator issues commands through the analog resistive touch layer, which functions with gloves and tolerates slight surface moisture. Front sealing reaches IP65 so dust and spray cannot reach internal circuits, while the rear retains an IP20 classification suited for a protected cabinet interior. The panel can sit flush on a door while its electronics remain ventilated on the cabinet side.
System resources include 256 MB of DDR2 DRAM for program execution, 2 GB eMMC flash for application storage, and 32 kB of FRAM that keeps critical variables after power loss. Communication includes one shielded RJ45 Ethernet connector supporting 10/100 Mbit/s for standard TCP/IP traffic, a separate RJ45 Powerlink port for deterministic cyclic exchange, and an X2X link that ties remote I/O slices to the controller. Two USB 2.0 sockets facilitate recipe transfer or service access, while the remanent memory protects counter values during shutdowns. Maximum consumption stays below 14.5 W, so the panel can be supplied from small 24 V DC control power supplies without thermal derating.
