The 4PPC70.101G is an operator interface panel manufactured by B&R Automation within the 4PPC Power Panels series. Acting as both a display and an integrated controller, the unit provides visualization and touch input for machine cells and production lines while combining HMI duties with compact PLC processing in one enclosure. It is used in industrial automation as a sealed front-mounted interface for parameter entry, status monitoring, and local recipe management. By combining control and visualization in one housing, it can reduce the need for separate panel components at the operator station.
Visual clarity comes from a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels on a 10.1-inch TFT display. The panel reaches a luminance of 500 cd/m², which helps maintain readability under factory lighting, while the display structure supports clear presentation of alarms, trends, and process screens. Interaction relies on analog resistive touch technology that accepts gloved input commonly used on plant floors. Computing resources include an Intel Atom E620T processor clocked at 333 MHz and supported by 256 MB of DRAM for local logic execution and graphic runtime tasks. A 32 kB FRAM area stores retained data such as counters and order numbers through power cycles.
Application files and the operating system are stored on 2 GB eMMC flash memory, while peak power draw is limited to 14.5 W to help reduce thermal load inside the cabinet. The housing measures 276 mm in width, 172 mm in height, and 51 mm in depth, which supports flush mounting in compact doors and helps when rear clearance is limited. The enclosure has a front IP65 and back IP20 rating, so the front surface is protected against dust and water spray while the rear is intended for enclosed installation. The white LED backlight is rated for 50,000 h to half brightness, supporting long operating life in regular machine service.
