The 4PP482.1043-75 is an integrated operator terminal from B&R Automation's 4PP Power Panels series. It functions as a compact human-machine interface and embedded controller that mounts on the front of a cabinet or machine frame, providing local visualization, parameter entry, and sequence control in automated production cells and process lines. By hosting application software directly on its internal processor, the panel removes the need for a separate PC-based HMI. The integrated format helps reduce cabinet complexity and keeps operator functions at the machine instead of at a remote workstation.

Visualization is presented on a 10.4 in (264 mm) TFT display that renders graphics at 640 × 480 pixels in VGA resolution across a palette of 256 colors. Luminance reaches 350 cd/m², while a 600:1 contrast ratio keeps onscreen elements distinct under factory lighting. Operator input is captured through an analog resistive touch layer that tolerates gloved interaction. A fanless x86 platform based on the Geode LX800 500 MHz processor executes control logic, and its 128 KB L1 cache with an additional 128 KB L2 cache helps speed repetitive calculations. Working data are stored in 64 MB DDRAM, while 512 KB of static RAM is reserved for retentive variables and 2 MB of flash memory stores the operating system and user project. Because control and visualization run in the same housing, screen updates and machine responses remain closely coordinated during routine operation.

The CCFL backlight is rated for 55000 hours, supporting multiyear continuous operation before replacement. A sealed aluminum front complies with IP65 / NEMA 250 Type 4X, blocking dust, oil, and water jets when the unit is panel mounted. Power is supplied at 24 VDC ±25%, allowing connection to common machine control power buses. Two rear USB 2.0 ports provide 2 host interfaces for recipe transfer or service diagnostics without opening the enclosure. The front-mounted design also allows rear service access inside the cabinet while the operator surface remains closed during normal use.
