Product Description:
The 4PP481.1505-75 is a human-machine interface from the 4PP Power Panels series manufactured by B & R Automation. In automated lines, it serves as the local visualization and control point, combining a touchscreen, embedded computing resources, and standard field ports inside one panel-mount housing. By integrating these elements, the unit replaces a separate industrial PC and lets machine builders deploy program logic, recipe handling, and alarm management directly at the operator station.
The active display area measures 15 in and presents graphics at 1024 × 768 pixels. A luminance of 350 cd/m² together with a 1000:1 contrast ratio keeps process diagrams legible under overhead shop lighting, while a palette of 16.2 million colors supports detailed trend views. Input is captured through an analog resistive touch layer that works with gloved hands. A Geode LX800 processor clocked at 500 MHz executes the B&R runtime, and application variables are buffered in 128 MB SDRAM. The panel retains configuration data in 2 MB of flash memory and secures critical counters in 512 kB of SRAM. Peripheral interaction is possible through two USB 1.1/2.0 connectors, and a dedicated RS232 port links to legacy drives or barcode scanners.
The electronics draw only 23 W, so the panel can share the same 24 VDC supply that powers sensors and small actuators. For network tasks such as PLC programming or Modbus TCP diagnostics, it offers a single 1 × 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet interface. The aluminum bezel and bonded gasket give the front face a IP65 ingress rating, preventing dust or low-pressure jets of cleaning fluid from entering the housing. The panel can run real-time control code, display high-resolution graphics, and perform data logging at the operator station.
