Product Description:
The 4PP481.1043-75 is an operator interface panel with an embedded x86 controller produced by B & R Automation for the 4PP Power Panels series. The 4PP481.1043-75 supplies visualization, recipe handling, and onboard I/O coordination, letting operators supervise motion sequences, acknowledge alarms, and adjust setpoints directly at the equipment. By combining control and display functions in one housing, the panel reduces wiring complexity, saves panel space, and supports fast local response in distributed installations.
At the core of the panel is a Geode LX800 500 MHz 32-bit processor that executes control logic and visualization tasks. It works with 64 MB DDRAM for dynamic data, 2 MB of Flash memory for system storage, and 512 KB of SRAM for retentive variables. Power is supplied at 24 VDC ±25%, permitting the unit to operate across common DC bus variation. One APCI slot allows the addition of specialized I/O, and a Type I CompactFlash slot supports removable program storage. Field connectivity includes a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet interface for networked PLC links, an RS232 port rated at 115 kBaud, and 2 x USB 1.1/2.0 ports for service peripherals.
The visualization hardware centers on a 10.4 in (264 mm) TFT that delivers 640 x 480 pixels of resolution, which suits discrete controls, status screens, and basic trend displays. Luminance reaches 350 cd/m², helping maintain readability under factory lighting, and operator input is captured through an analog resistive Elo 12-bit touchscreen that can be used with gloves. The aluminum front meets IP65 / NEMA 250 Type 4X, so airborne dust or directed water jets do not penetrate the panel face during normal machine operation. Overall dimensions of 323 × 358 × 86 mm support flush cabinet mounting, and the shallow housing helps keep internal clearance requirements modest.
