The 4PP480.1043-75 panel is manufactured by B&R Automation and belongs to the 4PP Power Panels series. It combines an operator display, touch interface, and embedded controller so that machine builders can mount a single unit on the enclosure door and handle visualization, data processing, and fieldbus communication from one device in an industrial automation cell. Two USB ports deliver up to 500 mA each for service tools or barcode scanners.

The panel presents information on a 10.4 in TFT screen with a native resolution of 640 × 480 px. Readability on the factory floor is supported by a luminance of 350 cd/m². User input is captured through an analog resistive touch layer that continues to function when operators wear thin gloves. Internally, a 64 MB DDRAM module works with 512 KB of battery-backed SRAM for retentive data, while 2 MB of flash memory stores the application. Processing tasks are executed by a 32-bit x86 Geode LX800 500 MHz CPU, enabling the panel to run B&R’s Automation Runtime and handle local logic or HMI graphics without an external PLC. One Type I CompactFlash slot provides removable mass storage for recipes or firmware updates, and a single aPCI expansion slot allows optional fieldbus or I/O cards.

The aluminum front maintains a sealing level of IP65, so dust and low-pressure water jets cannot reach the electronics when the unit is properly gasketed to the cabinet. Power is supplied at 24 VDC ±25%, which matches common control-panel bus rails. Integrated networking uses an Ethernet controller that auto-negotiates 10/100 Mbps links for programming or plant-level communication. The enclosure has a depth of 86 mm and overall dimensions of 323 × 260 × 86 mm. For removable media, the CompactFlash door and USB connectors are located on the rear side, keeping the front surface clear for cleaning and operation.
