Product Description:
The 4PP452.0571-B5 is a Power Panel produced by B&R Automation within the 4PP Power Panels series. It combines a 5.7-inch operator display with an integrated controller, so machine status can be viewed and adjusted from a single front panel in an industrial automation cell. The unit is intended as a compact human-machine interface and control node, and its IP-rated front makes it suitable for mounting on enclosures where washdown or airborne particulates are present.
The TFT screen reaches a luminance of 500 cd/m², allowing information to stay visible under overhead lighting. Images are rendered in a 320 x 240 px format that matches many legacy visualization projects. A contrast ratio of 350:1 supports clear differentiation between foreground graphics and background. Touch input and screen updates are handled by an AMD Geode LX800 processor with a clock frequency of 500 MHz, so basic logic, fieldbus handling, and local visualization run without an external PC. The panel’s computation is backed by 128 MB SDRAM for program variables and by 512 kB of SRAM that retains critical data during power loss. The front bezel carries a sealing rating of IP65, meaning it is dust-tight and resistant to low-pressure water jets.
Field connectivity is provided through a 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet interface for standard control networks. Two onboard USB ports accept memory sticks or service tools, while the two APCI slots allow expansion with fieldbus or special I/O modules. Non-volatile user storage is supplied by 2 MB of flash memory, and dedicated frame buffering uses 8 MB of graphics memory to keep screen refresh independent from application tasks. The backlight is rated for a 50,000 h half-brightness time, matching typical machine life cycles, and the electronics draw a nominal current of 0.63 A from the 24 V DC supply.
