It combines an embedded controller with a touch-ready visualization module, letting one device execute machine logic while presenting process data to the user. Installed on a cabinet door or swing arm, the panel serves as the primary human-machine interface for packaging, assembly, and handling stations. Because the logic engine and display share the same platform, operator commands, alarms, and status updates can be processed locally without relying on a separate external computer. This arrangement also reduces interconnection complexity between control and visualization functions inside the machine layout.

Its front face carries a 10.4 in TFT color display that renders graphics at 640 x 480 pixels, so standard VGA content appears clearly without scaling artifacts. Luminance reaches 450 cd/m², produced by an LED backlight, and a contrast ratio of 900:1 helps separate foreground objects from dark backgrounds under factory lighting. The native screen format suits menu pages, machine diagrams, and status windows that rely on fixed-position graphics and readable text. One APCI slot is available for fieldbus or specialty I/O modules when extra connectivity is needed. The screen is bonded to the protective front glass to resist vibration, and the sealed bezel helps block dust and splashed liquids at the front of the panel.

Behind the screen, a Geode LX800 processor clocks at 500 MHz, giving the unit enough performance for local control tasks and visualization updates. Program variables and real-time data reside in 128 MB SDRAM, recipe parameters can be retained in 2 MB of onboard flash, and 512 kB of battery-backed SRAM helps preserve counters during power cycling. This memory arrangement supports active runtime data, retained operating values, and stored machine settings in the same device. The front surface meets IP65, which helps protect the display area from dust and low-pressure water exposure.
