The 4PP450.1043-K01 operator terminal is a human-machine interface produced by B&R Automation as part of the 4PP Power Panels series. It combines a control CPU and visualization hardware in one unit for mounting on machine enclosures, allowing on-site parameter entry, alarm acknowledgment, and recipe handling without a separate PC. In industrial automation lines, it serves as the panel where operators start cycles, view process data, and trigger machine functions through its integrated keypad and touchscreen.

At the front of the unit, a 10.4 in diagonal Color TFT display presents process graphics at VGA resolution, giving 640 × 480 pixels of detail for process screens and trend curves. The panel runs on 24 VDC supplied through a screw-clamp power connector, and a 125 VDC / 10 A field-replaceable fuse protects internal circuits from overcurrent. A metal housing supports factory environments, while the bezel carries an IP65 (Front) rating that blocks dust and low-pressure water jets when the device is flush-mounted. System memory includes 64 MB of SDRAM for runtime code and buffered images, and an aPCI expansion slot allows additional interface cards to be installed as needed.

Operator interaction is handled by 86 tactile keys that surround the touchscreen for dedicated machine functions and numeric entry. For data exchange, the panel integrates 2 x USB device and host ports, 10/100 Ethernet for networked PLC communication, and an RS232 serial interface for legacy drives. Non-volatile program variables are retained in 512 KB of SRAM, and a front-accessible CompactFlash Type I slot allows recipe and application cards to be inserted without opening the cabinet. These resources give the panel enough connectivity and backup storage to serve as the primary controller interface on packaging, printing, or conveying equipment.
