The 4PP450.0571-K28 is an advanced power panel module engineered by B&R Automation for handling various types of data and signals during operation. Equipped with a Geode processor clocking at 500 MHz, this compact power panel module benefits from MMX technology, allowing it to issue powerful commands during operation. Although this power panel does not employ forced-air cooling, passive heating using a dedicated heat sink for the processor provides sufficient heat dissipation. Aside from its powerful processor, this module also employs a 2 MB flash, a 64 MB DDRAM, and 512 kB SRAM. The graphics controller for this module is also the Geode LX800, relying on shared memory from the DDRAM.
Like other original B&R Automation modules, the 4PP450.0571-K28 is compatible with Renata lithium-ion batteries having a nominal capacity of 950 mAh. To establish communication with other electrical modules and devices, the 4PP450.0571-K28 provides Ethernet, CompactFlash, RS232, and USB interfaces. For its Ethernet interface, transfer rates of 10 to 100 Mbps are supported. Similar to other USB ports, the transfer rate varies depending on the type of device connected.
