Product Description:
The 4PP420.1505-75 is a power panel human-machine interface produced by B&R Automation for the 4PP Power Panels series. By combining display, touch input, and an embedded x86 controller, it lets a machine builder mount one device on the cabinet door and run both visualization and control tasks directly on the factory floor. This arrangement keeps operator interaction and machine control in one enclosure, which helps simplify installation where panel space is limited.
The TFT panel delivers a luminance of 330 cd/m², so its graphics remain readable under typical shop floor lighting. A contrast ratio of 300:1 supports clear separation between dark and light areas on the screen during diagnostics and routine operation. Image content is rendered at an XGA resolution of 1024 × 768 pixels across a 15" (381 mm) diagonal, giving adequate pixel density for fine detail. Touch input uses an analog-resistive layer that responds to finger or gloved contact without recalibration when the screen is cleaned. The panel runs on a Geode LX800 500 MHz 32-bit processor, and its application code executes from 64 MB of DDR SDRAM while fast variables reside in 512 KB of SRAM. A 2 MB flash device stores the boot loader and system software, keeping the system solid-state and fanless.
Network and expansion resources match small-to-mid-range control needs. An Intel 82551ER controller supports Ethernet at 10/100 Mbps, enabling remote programming, SCADA links, and peer-to-peer communication. Legacy equipment can connect through an RS232/RS485 port that sustains 115 kBaud. Two USB receptacles accept service sticks or barcode readers and comply with USB 1.1 as well as USB 2.0 signaling. One AP(C)I slot allows a local I/O or fieldbus card to be inserted when additional interfaces are required. The front bezel resists dust and washdown jets with a rating of IP65 / NEMA 250 type 4X, so the unit can be mounted on enclosures in food, beverage, or outdoor stations without additional shielding.
