Product Description:
The 4PP420.1043-K61 panel is a human-machine interface produced by B & R Automation for the 4PP Power Panels series. It integrates an embedded PC, color display, and touch input into a single bezel that mounts directly on machinery. Intended for industrial automation tasks such as recipe selection, alarm viewing, and manual jog commands, the unit provides visualization and control at the point of operation without requiring an external computer.
The computing section uses a Geode LX800 500 MHz 32-bit x86 processor paired with 64 MB of DDRAM; this combination runs Automation Runtime code without active cooling. Visual output is generated on a VGA panel with a native resolution of 640 × 480 pixels, so graphics and text are rendered in a 4:3 aspect ratio. The TFT backlight delivers a brightness of 350 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 600:1, maintaining clarity under factory lighting. Power is supplied through a single 24 V DC ±25% input, allowing the panel to share a low-voltage fieldbus rail. An onboard 512 KB SRAM retains variables during brief outages, and two USB host ports can each supply 500 mA to peripherals such as barcode scanners or flash drives.
Operator interaction is captured by an analog resistive touch layer that detects pressure from either a gloved finger or a stylus. For networked control architectures, the onboard controller provides an Ethernet interface that supports 10/100 Mbps, enabling quick project-file downloads or data logging to supervisory systems. The aluminum front bezel has an ingress protection rating of IP65 and NEMA 250 Type 4X, protecting the front of the installed panel against dust and water jets when the housing is secured in the 303 × 243 mm panel cutout. The active-matrix screen measures 10.4 inches (264 mm) diagonally and fits within an overall width of 323 mm and height of 260 mm. These dimensions allow the unit to fit into industrial control cabinets where panel space is limited.
