Product Description:
The 4PP420.0571-K38 is a human-machine interface designed by B & R Automation as a part of 4PP panel series. It has got a 5.7-inch TFT color display with CCFL back light and provides 220 cd/m2 brightness. The display has the QVGA technology and a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels in addition to the contrast ratio of 25:1.
The 4PP420.0571-K38 interface panel is engineered to hold half brightness for a period of 50,000 operating hours while the front panel is certified to IP65 rating that guarantees a good level of protection against dust and water penetration. It accommodates vertical mounting and needs to be powered by a 24 VDC electrically isolated supply. The 4PP420 interface panel is designed for current rating of 0.5 A and an order starting current 1.2 A while the energy consumption is 12 W for continuous operations. The interface panel is built using a metal casing with natural anodized aluminum frame work and a polyester membrane in front. It offers connection through the dual USB ports and an RS232 serial interface to communicate with other systems. The 4PP420 interface panel is constructed to run between -20 to 70 °C.
The 4PP420.0571-K38 interface panel comes with an installed replaceable battery of 950 mAh and has a backup capacitor that provides a 10 minutes buffer time. Upon sudden power loss, the 4PP420 interface panel implements MTCX-programmed fail-safe logic that provides a 10 ms buffer to ensure graceful shutdown. The panel functions on a 500 MHz Geode chip also it is preloaded with 128 megabytes of DDR-1 SDRAM, where 8 MB is dedicated for graphics use and a 2 MB of flash memory section is reserved for firmware purposes.
