Product Description:
The 4PP420.0571-K22 is an operator terminal produced by B&R Automation for the 4PP Power Panels series. The panel combines a color touch display, processing electronics, and communication interfaces in one housing, allowing it to serve as the human-machine interface in conveyor lines, packaging stations, or assembly cells. By executing local control logic and presenting real-time data, it replaces separate PCs and keypads, reducing enclosure space. It operates on a low-voltage DC supply typically available in control cabinets and mounts from the front of an enclosure so operators can access controls without opening doors.
The panel features a QVGA resolution TFT that renders 320 × 240 pixels on a 5.7 in diagonal, which is sufficient for trend graphs, alarm lists, and numeric input fields at short viewing distances. Its resistive touch layer can be actuated with gloved fingers or a stylus, eliminating the need for capacitive gestures. Internal electronics draw power from a 24 VDC supply, matching the standard control voltage used by sensors and relays. For networked projects, the integrated Ethernet controller negotiates 10/100 Mbps link speeds, while legacy equipment can still be accessed through a RS232 port. Two USB connectors permit data logging to thumb drives or the connection of service keyboards without opening the cabinet.
Front-side sealing rated at IP65 protects the display against dust and low-pressure water, so the unit can be panel-mounted in washdown zones. A CompactFlash slot accepts Type I cards, allowing application updates or recipe transfer without a laptop. The aluminum housing spans 212 mm in width and 156 mm in height, providing a shallow footprint that fits in crowded door layouts while still leaving room for push buttons. This layout supports compact panel designs without sacrificing access to the display or external controls.
