Product Description:
The 4PP320.1505.31 is an industrial Power Panel produced by B & R Automation in the 4PP Power Panels series. It integrates a 15-inch touch display with a Geode LX800 controller so that machine status, recipes, and diagnostics can be managed and visualized from a single enclosure opening. In automated lines, this HMI and PLC hybrid provides local control logic while delivering operator input and real-time feedback on the production floor. Because the controller and display are housed together, the panel can support local machine interaction without a separate external terminal.
The front of the unit carries a 15 in (381 mm) TFT that supplies a native resolution of 1024 x 768, giving clear graphics for parameter entry and alarm review. The LED backlight outputs 350 cd/m² so the screen remains legible under standard workshop lighting. A Geode LX800 processor clocked at 500 MHz runs the visualization software and motion tasks, while 128 MB SDRAM supports program variables, trend buffers, and temporary data. For environmental sealing, the aluminum bezel is rated IP65 / NEMA 250 Type 4X, allowing installation on cabinets exposed to dust or directed washdown water. This layout supports both display readability and control processing in a compact front-mounted format.
The display renders 16.2 million colors and maintains a contrast ratio of 1000:1, so gradients and diagnostic overlays appear without banding when operators use the analog-resistive touchscreen. Graphics are buffered in 8 MB of shared video RAM, while 2 MB of onboard flash stores the boot kernel and application. Communication with supervisory systems is handled by an Intel 82551ER Fast Ethernet controller, and field updates can be loaded through 2 USB ports on the rear side. At 435 × 330 × 71.5 mm, the housing fits standard 15-inch cutouts without exceeding cabinet depth allowances. Rear-side connectivity also helps keep data and peripheral cabling away from the active display surface.
