Product Description:
The 4PP320.1505-31/PL3 is an integrated operator panel manufactured by B&R Automation for the 4PP Power Panels series. This compact HMI and control platform combines a touchscreen display with a built-in controller so that machine builders can run visualization and logic tasks from one unit. Inside an automation cell, the panel supplies on-machine interaction, status display, and decentralized control while exchanging data with drives, I/O, and supervisory networks through its onboard interfaces.
At its core, a Geode LX800 processor runs at 500 MHz; this embedded CPU balances low heat generation with adequate throughput for real-time graphics and PLC code. The device carries 128 MB of SDRAM for variables and buffering, while 2 MB of flash holds the application and boot loader. A 15 in (381 mm) TFT screen presents graphics at 1024 × 768 pixels, giving operators a clear layout for alarms and trends. Network traffic moves over the integrated Ethernet controller that negotiates at 10/100 Mbit/s, allowing deterministic exchanges with SCADA servers and remote drives. The controller draws 1.25 A at nominal load and accepts an 18–30 VDC supply, easing cabinet power distribution.
The front overlay achieves a protection rating of IP65, so the electronics stay sealed against dust and water jets when the bezel is panel mounted. Touch input is captured through analog resistive technology, enabling gloved operation without recalibration. Visual clarity is supported by a brightness of 350 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1000:1, both suitable for factory lighting. Two USB ports permit local recipe transfer or peripheral connection. Thermal compliance spans 0 to 50 °C, matching typical control cabinet climates, and overall power demand remains at 30 W, which simplifies UPS sizing during power outages.
