Product Description:
The 4PP282.1043-75 belongs to the 4PP Power Panels series from B&R Automation. The unit is an operator interface panel that integrates display, soft-PLC control, and local I/O access for machine-level automation. By combining visualization and processing in one housing, it reduces cabinet space and wiring while providing direct access to parameters and diagnostics at the machine. Its integrated format is suited to operator stations where control and visualization need to stay together in one front-mounted device.
The TFT screen measures 10.4 in (264 mm) diagonally and presents graphics at VGA, 640 × 480 pixels. A native palette of 256 colors and a contrast ratio of 600:1 maintain readability for trend charts and alarm banners, while the backlight supplies 350 cd/m² of brightness for use in bright production areas. Forty-four membrane function keys with integrated LEDs provide fixed shortcuts for mode changes or recipe loading. Two front USB ports support data transfer or keyboard attachment, and the serial port communicates with legacy drives at up to 115 kBaud. The panel accepts one APCI expansion slot for fieldbus or motion cards, and its molded chassis is 86 mm deep, 423 mm wide, and 288 mm high for flush mounting in standard operator stations.
Inside, a Geode SC2200 266 MHz 32-bit x86 processor works with 64 MB DRAM to execute control logic and manage the user interface without an external PLC. Two rear USB connectors permit recipe backup or system updates, and a single CompactFlash socket, which is not occupied by default, stores application code. Peak input demand is limited to 35 W, so the panel can share low-capacity 24 VDC supplies with sensors. The shallow housing leaves clearance for the heat sink in compact enclosures, and the ventless construction helps keep airborne oil mist out.
