Product Description:
The 4PP280.1505-B5 is a Power Panel produced by B&R Automation within the 4PP Power Panels series. It integrates an operator display, resistive touch input, and a 266 MHz Geode SC2200 processor so the unit can run visualization tasks and local logic without an external PC. Mounted on the machine front, it supplies the graphical interface that operators use to start cycles, adjust parameters, and observe status in real time, streamlining the control architecture for industrial equipment.
The panel features a 15 inch TFT with a native resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, and this pixel density allows detailed process graphics to be rendered clearly at typical viewing distances. Screen legibility on the factory floor is supported by luminance of 330 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 300:1, while analog-resistive touch technology permits gloved operation. The aluminum bezel carries front sealing rated at IP65, protecting the electronics against dust and directed water jets. Internally, the system holds 64 MB of DRAM that buffers the operating system and runtime application, and two APCI slots accept fieldbus or I/O cards to tailor communication. A CompactFlash Type I slot is provided for recipe storage and removable data handling, and the start-up inrush of 20 A lasts less than one millisecond, minimizing supply disturbance.
Non-volatile program data resides in 2 MB of on-board flash, and additional storage can be added through the external memory slot. Network integration is handled by the Ethernet interface running at 10/100 Mbps, while a serial port offers 115 kBaud transfer rates for legacy devices. The unit operates from a single-ended supply of 24 VDC ±25%, which provides broad input tolerance for cabinet power distribution. Maximum consumption is limited to 40 W, so the panel can share low-current power supplies with other control modules without exceeding thermal limits.
