Product Description:
The 4PP280.1043-K01 is a human-machine interface panel produced by B&R Automation for the 4PP Power Panels series. The unit combines an industrial display, touch sensor, and keyed input in one enclosure, allowing operators to supervise processes and issue commands directly to a controller. It presents graphics generated by its embedded processor while accepting local setpoints, making it the primary interaction point on packaging lines, conveyor stations, and other installations that rely on precise machine-level control.
A 10.4-inch (264 mm) TFT panel delivers 350 cd/m² of luminance and a 600:1 contrast ratio, so status graphics remain clear under factory lighting. Images are rendered at 640 × 480 pixels, matching standard VGA signals for straightforward screen development. The computing core uses a Geode SC2200 processor clocked at 266 MHz, providing sufficient throughput for recipe handling and alarm logging. The front face has an IP65 (NEMA Type 4X) protection rating, allowing washdown with low-pressure water jets when the panel is properly mounted in a cabinet. The panel accepts a 24 VDC ±25% power supply, accommodating common fluctuations on a 24-volt bus. Twelve LED-backlit function keys and ten LED soft keys supplement the touch interface with tactile controls. A Type I CompactFlash slot supports removable application storage.
The panel has a maximum power dissipation of 25 W, allowing passive cooling in most cabinet-door installations without additional blowers. For networking, the integrated Ethernet port supports 10/100 Mbit/s links, enabling PLC data exchange and software transfers over standard copper cabling. Point-to-point diagnostics are available through a nine-pin D-Sub RS-232 connector. Two USB 1.1 Type-A receptacles accept storage devices, barcode scanners, and other compatible peripherals. The input surface uses an analog resistive touchscreen that registers contact from a bare or gloved hand, supporting dependable data entry in demanding industrial environments.
