The 4PP252.0571-65 is an integrated human-machine interface and control unit manufactured by B&R Automation within the 4PP Power Panels series. Designed as a panel-mounted node, it combines visualization, user input, and PLC functionality in a single enclosure, which helps simplify cabinet layouts. In an automation cell, it serves as the operator’s window to the machine while simultaneously executing application code, reducing latency between user commands and deterministic control tasks. This arrangement keeps local control and display functions in one device instead of separating them into multiple hardware components.

Computing resources are centered on a Geode SC2200 processor clocked at 266 MHz, giving enough throughput for mid-range logic, motion, and graphical tasks. The panel carries 64 MB of SDRAM for dynamic program data, supplemented by 256 kB of SRAM that retains critical variables through power cycles. Application code and recipe files reside in a 2 MB flash device, and a single aPCI expansion slot allows fieldbus or I/O adapters when additional interfaces are required.
