Product Description:
The 4PP251.1043-75 is an operator interface from B&R Automation in the 4PP Power Panels series. It combines a built-in controller with visualization hardware, so one panel can run machine logic, display process information, and accept touch or key input without a separate industrial PC. This integrated layout helps reduce panel complexity and keeps control functions close to the machine. Because the controller and display are housed together, cable routing between the HMI and control hardware can be simplified in compact machines. It is suited for automated equipment that needs local operation, status display, and direct connection to plant devices.
The unit uses a 10.4 in TFT color screen with a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels, which gives it a standard VGA display format for menus, status pages, and process graphics. Display brightness reaches 350 cd/m², helping the screen remain readable under typical indoor industrial lighting. The front bezel is rated IP65, so a proper panel installation protects the front surface against dust and low-pressure water jets. Networking is handled through Ethernet at 10/100 Mbit/s, and the communication set also includes one RS232 port and two USB connectors for serial accessories or removable storage. These interfaces allow the panel to exchange data with controllers and connect common external devices from the front of the cabinet.
The computing section uses an AMD Geode SC2200 processor running at 266 MHz, which is appropriate for cycle-based control and routine screen updates. The unit includes 64 MB of SDRAM for active programs, along with 256 kB of SRAM for retaining important variables during brief power interruptions. Nonvolatile storage includes 2 MB of onboard flash, and a Type I CompactFlash slot allows removable memory for application data or system files. That storage arrangement supports local application handling without increasing the size of the front panel. One APCI expansion slot is available for added I/O functions, and the enclosure size of 323 × 358 × 86 mm supports flush mounting in standard control cabinet doors.
