Product Description:
The 4PP251.0571-85 belongs to the 4PP Power Panels series manufactured by B & R Automation. This unit is a compact operator panel that unites control processing with an integrated display, allowing it to issue commands, collect machine feedback, and present status data directly on the production floor. As a self-contained HMI-PLC device, it reduces cabinet space and wiring while delivering deterministic execution for packaging lines, conveying systems, and assembly stations where a mid-level performance controller is required.
The panel’s computing core is a Geode SC2200 266 MHz processor that executes control cycles and graphical tasks. It is supported by 16 KB of L1 cache for fast instruction access, 64 MB of DRAM for user programs, and a non-volatile 256 KB SRAM block that retains critical variables after power loss. Application code and boot data reside in 2 MB of firmware flash memory, and two APCI expansion slots permit the addition of fieldbus or motion cards when specialized I/O is needed. A single CompactFlash socket provides removable storage for recipe files or firmware updates. Communication with external equipment is handled through 2 USB ports and a 9-pin D-Sub serial connector, ensuring support for both modern and legacy peripherals.
The front fascia carries a 5.7 in (144 mm) monochrome LCD with a native 320 × 240 pixel grid, giving clear text and mimic diagrams at typical operator distances. Short-term power interruptions are bridged by a 10 ms buffer so control tasks can finish safely. The device boots the Automation Runtime operating system, which supplies deterministic task scheduling and integrated diagnostics. With outer dimensions of 212 × 245 × 98 mm and a weight of 2.7 kg, the panel mounts directly into standard control enclosures without additional support hardware.
