The 4PP251.0571-45 is an operator interface panel produced by B & R Automation and grouped within the 4PP Power Panels series. This unit integrates visualization, control, and communication so it can combine HMI and compact PLC functions in one enclosure. Installed in a cabinet door or machine frame, the panel allows operators to view process values, issue commands, and acknowledge alarms without opening the control cabinet, which simplifies industrial automation tasks on assembly lines, packaging machines, and material-handling equipment.

A fanless x86 core drives the panel, and the embedded processor is a Geode SC2200 266 MHz that runs the integrated operating system and local control routines. For application data, the device provides 64 MB of DRAM, supplemented by 2 MB of firmware flash that stores the boot loader and user program. Communications to higher-level networks are handled through an Ethernet interface rated at 10/100 Mbps, enabling direct connection to controllers, drives, or supervisory PCs. The monochrome LCD renders graphics at 320 x 240 pixels; this QVGA format is adequate for text, trend curves, and simple mimic diagrams while keeping refresh times short. Nonvolatile SRAM, a single APCI expansion slot, twin USB ports, and 4 MB of shared graphics memory round out the internal architecture.

Power requirements are modest, and the panel draws up to 20 W max from a nominal 24 VDC supply, making it suitable for low-current control cabinets. When mounted from the front, the aluminum bezel and gasket achieve a frontal rating of IP65, so dust and water jets cannot reach the electronics during washdown or coolant spray. The physical footprint is set by the 212 × 245 × 76 mm housing, which accommodates the backlight and touch sensor behind the 5.7 in (144 mm) display. Brightness of 140 cd/m² maintains legibility on factory floors, and the passive cooling design keeps the unit silent while operating in ambient industrial temperatures.
