Product Description:
The 4PP250.0571-K12 operator terminal is an integrated HMI and controller panel produced by B & R Automation for the 4PP Power Panels series. It combines a color display, onboard processor, and sealed keypad in a single enclosure to provide a compact interface between shop-floor equipment and supervisory control systems. In automated lines, the panel handles recipe selection, parameter adjustment, and status feedback without requiring a separate industrial PC. Because the display and control functions are combined, the unit can be mounted directly on equipment where installation space is limited.
Front-side interaction is centered on a 5.7 in active-matrix screen that uses TFT Color technology for stable contrast and a wide viewing angle. Commands are entered through a dedicated keypad, a fixed membrane that tolerates repetitive actuation and resists fluids commonly found in production areas. The panel operates from a nominal 24 VDC supply delivered through an internal power conditioning stage, which helps support stable operation from a low-voltage source. Display and key entry are combined on the same face, so operators can view process values, respond to prompts, and enter adjustments without moving to a separate control station.
In addition to the user-facing elements, the unit provides data and protection features needed for field use. A built-in RS232 serial interface supports point-to-point connection with drives, barcode scanners, or legacy PLCs, enabling simple protocol bridging without external converters. This direct serial link is useful where peripheral devices still rely on straightforward wired communication rather than network-based exchange. Power is admitted through a rugged 3-Pin Socket, and the circuitry includes overload protection to interrupt operation if current rises beyond the permitted range. For storage or transport, the panel can withstand temperatures from -20 to 70°C, allowing it to be kept in unconditioned spaces before installation.
