Product Description:
The 4PP220.1043-75/PL3 is an integrated operator panel and control computer produced by B & R Automation for the 4PP Power Panels series. It combines processing, networking, and a touch display in one enclosure so it can drive local motion, sequencing, and data exchange at the machine level. By merging visualization with onboard logic, the unit reduces cabinet space and wiring while providing direct access to system status through its front screen. It is typically mounted on the door of electrical enclosures where a sealed interface to the process is required.
Inside the panel, a Geode SC2200 processor operates at 266 MHz, supported by 64 MB SDRAM as the main working memory, 256 kB of battery-backed SRAM for retentive variables, and 2 MB of internal flash for onboard storage. One Type I CompactFlash slot accepts removable media for recipe or application updates, while a single APCI expansion slot allows additional I/O modules to be inserted when the base interfaces are not sufficient. Communication to external devices is provided through two USB 1.1 ports, a 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet controller, and an RS-232 channel that can reach 115 kbit/s. These resources let the panel execute local control logic and data collection without relying on an external PC.
The front of the unit carries a 10.4 in color TFT that renders process graphics at 640 × 480 pixels. Input is registered through analog resistive touch technology so operators can wear gloves without loss of accuracy. A molded aluminum bezel gives IP65 protection on the front side. The housing measures 323 × 260 × 86 mm, allowing flush-mount installation in compact panels, and the electronics draw from a 24 VDC ±25% supply so they can share the same power rail as standard sensors and actuators. Heat is dissipated passively, letting the device operate in control cabinets without forced airflow.
