Product Description:
The 4PP220.1043-75 is a human-machine interface panel manufactured by B & R Automation and assigned to the 4PP Power Panels series. The device unites visualization, control, and data entry functions in a single housing, allowing operators to monitor variables, adjust set points, and initiate machine sequences without an external PC. By embedding its own processor and memory, the panel supports standalone execution of application code and communicates with programmable controllers across field networks in demanding industrial environments. It also supports touchscreen interaction through a resistive layer, eliminating mechanical keys and reducing front-panel wear.
Central processing tasks are handled by a Geode SC2200 processor running at 266 MHz, which is adequate for local logic, trending, and protocol conversion. Program data resides in 64 MB of DRAM, while 256 KB of SRAM preserves retentive variables when power is removed. Operators view real-time graphics on a 10.4 in (264 mm) color TFT panel that renders a native 640 × 480 pixel image at 350 cd/m² luminance, making the screen easy to read under normal shop lighting. The analog resistive touchscreen permits single-finger or gloved input across the active area. The onboard display controller shares 4 MB of graphics memory with the CPU to paint pages smoothly.
Permanent application code is stored in 2 MB of flash, and project updates can be loaded through front-accessible USB sockets; the panel provides 2 host ports for removable drives or programming cables. For network integration, the panel offers an RJ-45 interface supporting 10/100 Mbps Ethernet and a serial port that reaches 115 kbaud for legacy devices. The display maintains readability across process shifts with a 600:1 contrast ratio. The enclosure measures 323 × 260 × 86 mm, allowing the unit to fit shallow cabinets. Resistive touch glass, an aluminum front, and a fanless design support reliable operation on packaging lines, conveyors, and batching skids.
