Product Description:
The 4PP220.0571-K01 operator panel is an integrated human-machine interface produced by B & R Automation for its 4PP Power Panels series. Combining a display, processor, memory, and I/O within one enclosure, the unit is intended to mount on machine fronts and provide local visualization, parameter entry, and command execution in automated lines. The panel replaces separate industrial PCs and dedicated displays, reducing cabinet space and wiring while still tying into PLC networks for real-time control and status feedback.
Visual interaction is handled by a 5.7 in diagonal TFT Color LCD that renders graphics at 320 x 240 px, giving clear icon-based navigation and alarm viewing. Input occurs through a resistive touchscreen, eliminating external keypads and supporting gloved operation. Embedded computing resources come from the Geode SC2200 processor, an x86-compatible system-on-chip that integrates graphics, memory control, and industrial I/O timing in a low-power profile suited for fanless panels. This screen size and resolution combination conforms to the 4PP cutout standard, allowing installation in compatible panel openings. The integrated graphics engine supports basic animations and color gradients used in machine dashboards.
System memory is arranged on a SO-DIMM 144-pin module, allowing memory installation without soldering. The factory-installed capacity is 64 MB, which is suitable for compact HMI runtimes and recipe storage. Power is supplied from a machine's 24 V control rail, and the panel accepts 24 VDC for integration with standard switch-mode supplies. External connectivity is focused on operator service tasks, and the housing includes 2 USB ports for data logging devices or temporary peripheral attachment. These ports can also connect a keyboard or support log export without opening the cabinet.
