Product Description:
The 4PP210.0000-95 is an operator panel and integrated controller produced by B&R Automation within the 4PP Power Panels series. In a machine cell or process line, this panel combines the human-machine interface with local control logic, so status data, alarms, and machine commands can be handled from one device instead of separate panel and controller hardware. It runs from a DC control supply and communicates with external devices over standard field cabling, linking sensors, drives, and supervisory systems in industrial automation while keeping local visualization and control in the same housing.
A 266 MHz Geode SC2200 processor runs the real-time application code, while 64 MB of DRAM stores dynamic program variables and operating system data during active machine cycles. Nonvolatile storage is provided by 4 MB of flash memory, and high-speed state retention is supported by 256 KB of SRAM for battery-backed data. The panel accepts a nominal input of 24 VDC, which matches common control-cabinet power buses. It also includes two APCI expansion slots for modular I/O or fieldbus cards, a CompactFlash slot for removable storage, USB 1.1 connections for peripheral devices, an RS232 serial interface for legacy links, and housing dimensions of 230 mm in width and 146 mm in height.
The unit draws no more than 17 W, which simplifies power budgeting and helps limit heat inside the enclosure during continuous operation. When the RS232 port is used, communication can reach 115 kBaud, which is adequate for parameter downloads, status checks, and diagnostic exchanges with compatible external devices. Two USB ports support low-speed or full-speed devices that conform to the USB 1.1 standard, allowing simple connection of common removable peripherals. Cabinet depth is limited to 80.5 mm, so the panel fits in slim operator stations without requiring a deep mounting recess.
