Product Description:
The 4PP152.0571-01 is a compact human-machine interface manufactured by B & R Automation as part of the 4PP Power Panels series. The unit combines a monochrome LCD, serial communications, and USB expansion so operators can issue commands and view real-time process data at the machine level. By integrating visualization and basic control in a single housing, the panel reduces cabinet space and simplifies wiring in packaging lines, assembly stations, and conveyor modules. Its layout is suited to applications that need a local display and direct operator input without requiring a full industrial PC.
Nominal operation is supported by a 24 VDC ±25% supply range, allowing the panel to remain stable on control cabinets that share power with sensors and relays. Peak electrical draw is 18 W, which helps limit heat buildup inside enclosed panels. The display reaches 140 cd/m² of luminance, making it suitable for indoor work cells under standard ambient lighting. A diagonal size of 5.7 in (144 mm) provides room for status fields while keeping the footprint modest, and a resolution of 320 × 240 pixels supports legible graphics for alarms, setpoints, and trend curves. A 9-pin D-Sub port is available for RS-232 or RS-485 links to PLCs and related control devices.
For simple visual hierarchy, the monochrome LCD renders 8 shades of gray, which helps separate menus, values, and alarm areas on the screen. When serial diagnostics are needed, the asynchronous channel operates at up to 115 kBaud, which supports quick data exchange during setup and troubleshooting. Two USB host sockets accept scanners or flash drives, and each line is rated for 500 mA per connection. The presence of 2 USB ports allows one peripheral to remain connected while another is used for data transfer. Mechanical integration is aided by outer dimensions of 302 × 187 × 55.5 mm and a weight of 2.2 kg, while a bleeder resistance of 0 Ω discharges internal capacitors immediately after power-off.
