Product Description:
The 4PP151.1505-31 Power Panel is a human-machine interface and embedded controller produced by B & R Automation within the 4PP Power Panels series. Intended for machine-level operation, the unit combines a touch display, PLC-class processing, and industrial communication in one panel. This arrangement allows visualization, motion functions, and basic logic to run directly at the operator station without requiring a separate display terminal. Because the control and interface functions share the same enclosure, the panel suits compact machines where local operation and control need to remain closely linked.
It relies on a Geode SC2200 processor clocked at 266 MHz, paired with system memory, a dedicated 2 MB graphics buffer, and a separate 2 MB flash device for the runtime system. The TFT front presents a native resolution of 1024 × 768 pixels and delivers 330 cd/m² of luminance, so status screens and control elements remain readable under typical factory lighting. With a diagonal of 15 in (381 mm), the display provides enough space for multi-window process views, and the 435 × 430 × 71.5 mm housing fits standard enclosure doors. The separate graphics memory helps keep screen updates responsive while the main memory handles the application workload. Maximum power draw is limited to 38 W, which supports fanless operation from common control-cabinet supplies and helps keep the panel layout compact.
Ethernet connectivity is provided through a port rated at 10/100 Mbps, and the panel also includes two USB host ports plus an RS232 connection that reaches 115 kBaud for legacy devices. This port mix supports direct peripheral connection, networked data exchange, and serial communication with older auxiliary equipment. Program memory and variables are retained in flash and DRAM, and the latter totals 64 MB, which supports mid-size SCADA screens and local application data without external storage. The aluminum front bezel carries IP65 protection, permitting direct mounting on machine doors when the rear of the installation is properly sealed. Electrical feeds accept a nominal 24 VDC ±25% input, so the panel can operate from typical battery-backed or unregulated field supplies used in industrial control cabinets.
