Product Description:
The 4PP151.0571-21 is a human-machine interface panel manufactured by B & R Automation for the 4PP Power Panels series. This color LCD unit merges control capability with graphical visualization, giving operators a single front end for setting parameters, viewing alarms, and issuing machine commands in compact automation cabinets and on-machine installations. It is intended for routine machine operation, allowing users to navigate screens, acknowledge faults, and adjust process values directly at the equipment. The integrated format combines visualization and local control in one housing, which helps conserve space where a separate display and keypad would be impractical.
The panel presents information on a 5.7 in (144 mm) screen that renders at 320 × 240 pixels and supports 256 colors for basic process graphics. Ethernet networking is available at 10/100 Mbps, while a serial interface reaches 115 kBaud for legacy devices. A Geode SC2200 266 MHz processor works with 2 MB of shared graphics memory to refresh screens without external GPUs. Two USB ports simplify recipe transfers and service tasks, and each port can deliver 500 mA to peripheral hardware. Electrical integration is straightforward because the electronics are designed for a single 24 VDC supply, and the enclosure measures 212 × 245 × 55.5 mm, allowing front-panel mounting with minimal depth.
Brightness of 150 cd/m² keeps text legible in standard factory lighting, and application code resides in 2 MB of onboard flash so updates do not rely on removable media. Power demand stays within 18 W during operation, but initial inrush can rise to 20 A for less than 1 ms, a consideration when sizing branch protection. The USB supply budget is limited to 500 mA per port to avoid tripping the internal regulator, and the design reserves two ports for scanners, memory sticks, or service laptops. The unit is intended for low-voltage, panel-mounted use and does not require external cooling fans or separate controllers.
