Product Description:
The 4PP151.0571-01 operator panel is produced by B & R Automation for the 4PP Power Panels series. Designed for mounting on machine fronts, the unit integrates a controller, display, and I/O interfaces so that users can monitor process variables and issue commands from a single point. Within an automation cell it substitutes a separate HMI and PLC pair, trimming panel space and wiring while still delivering deterministic behavior expected in factory environments.
The visualization hardware centers on a 5.7 in (144 mm) diagonal LCD that renders at 320 × 240 pixels. Because the panel uses an LCD Monochrome screen, every picture element is driven in grayscale rather than color. Legibility in typical plant lighting is aided by a back-light producing 140 cd/m², and operators can distinguish graphics across 8 Shades of Gray generated by the onboard controller. A native contrast ratio of 25:1 separates bright alarm fields from darker background areas so status changes are immediately visible. These optical parameters are tailored for small form-factor machines where distance between user and screen rarely exceeds arm length.
Electrical and communication features support the display’s role on the production line. The housing carries a IP65 rating on the front, preventing dust ingress and water jets when the bezel is correctly gasketed. Logic circuits are supplied with 24 VDC ±25%, drawing 13 W during normal operation and up to 18 W under full load. Serial diagnostics pass through an RS232 port that streams data at a maximum of 115 kBaud to drives or legacy controllers. Two USB 1.1 receptacles provide removable-media access; each port can source 500 mA per connection, and the available count of 2 supports concurrent use of a flash device and a service keyboard without external hubs.
