Product Description:
B&R Automation’s 4PP120.1505-31 belongs to the 4PP Power Panels series and functions as a human-machine interface for machine control stations. The unit combines a 15 in diagonal color TFT display with analog resistive touch input, so operators can issue commands directly on the screen while monitoring process values, alarms, and status messages. By combining visualization and control in one housing, the panel reduces separate hardware at the machine and helps keep wiring between the operator station and cabinet equipment shorter. It is suited for production cells that need a compact interface for routine control and process supervision.
The panel is built around a Geode SC2200 processor that runs at 266 MHz. Internal power is supplied by 24 VDC, and the circuitry tolerates line variation of ±25% so the unit can remain operational during moderate supply fluctuation. Peak inrush reaches 20 A, while continuous consumption is limited to 35 W, which is useful when sizing the power feed and estimating enclosure heat load. The native 1024 × 768 resolution fits common SCADA screen layouts and supports clear presentation of menus, trends, and machine states. The onboard file system also makes diagnostic logs available from the panel during operation.
The front bezel is rated IP65 when the gasket is seated against a flat enclosure door, which helps keep dust and washdown fluids away from the operator surface. Network traffic is handled through an RJ45 interface with speeds up to 100 Mbit/s, while Com1 provides RS232 connectivity for legacy controllers and two USB host ports support transfers by flash drive. For screen visibility, the display provides 330 cd/m² of luminance and a 300:1 contrast ratio, helping text and status colors remain readable under typical factory lighting. These interfaces allow the panel to connect with both newer Ethernet-based equipment and older serial devices on the same machine.
