The 4PP120.0571-K01 operator terminal is produced by B & R Automation within the 4PP Power Panels series. Classified as a combined HMI and controller, it mounts on the machine front for direct access during operation. It provides a shared interface for parameter entry, alarm visualization, and basic motion commands in automated cells and packaging equipment.
At the core of the panel is a Geode SC2200 processor clocked at 266 MHz; this frequency determines how quickly the unit can execute Automation Runtime tasks and refresh graphical objects. Application code is stored in 2 MB of onboard flash so recipes and stored data remain available after power removal. The aluminum front carries an IP65 rating, blocking dust and low-pressure water to let the unit sit on food-processing or filling lines. Operators view process data on a TFT with 320 × 240 pixels spread across a 5.7 in diagonal, a size that balances readability with panel footprint. A field supply of 24 VDC powers the electronics directly from typical control cabinets, avoiding the need for a dedicated AC supply. Two 16-digit mode and node switches, a metal housing, and an analog resistive touch layer complete the primary functional envelope.
The panel boots through Automation Runtime, so the screen is ready for user programs immediately after power-up without extra loaders. Field devices such as scanners or data keys can be attached through two USB receptacles that follow the USB 1.1 standard, enabling low-speed peripherals while keeping cable lengths suitable for cabinet layouts. Legacy controllers are still supported because the panel carries an RS232 port for serial diagnostics or line control. A Type I CompactFlash slot accepts removable storage for log files, and the dual 16-digit selector pairs simplify CAN or Ethernet node addressing.
