Product Description:
The 4PP120.0571-01 IN operator terminal is a compact Power Panel built by B&R Automation for the 4PP Power Panels series. It combines a programmable controller with a touch-enabled display so a single unit can execute control logic, render graphics, and accept user input. In industrial automation lines, the panel mounts on the door of a cabinet and supplies local visualization, recipe entry, and status indication, eliminating the need for a separate PC and reducing wiring complexity.
Computing tasks are handled by the Geode SC2200 266 MHz processor working with 64 MB of DRAM, 2 MB of firmware flash, and 2 MB of dedicated graphics memory. The monochrome LCD measures 5.7 in diagonally and presents process data at 320 × 240 px resolution. This display type uses a passive matrix suited for simple mimic diagrams and text. The touchscreen uses analog resistive sensing and provides cursor input at 12-bit coordinate resolution, allowing glove operation and calibration in noisy environments. The memory split permits the operating system, application, and graphic objects to coexist without external storage, while the processor’s integrated floating-point unit accelerates basic math functions often found in motion or PID loops.
Power draw is limited to 15 W, so the panel can be supplied from low-capacity 24 V control circuits without adding much heat to the enclosure. It offers two USB ports for peripherals; the controller sources up to 500 mA per port, and the link complies with USB 1.1. For serial integration, the unit provides an RS232 channel capable of 115 kBaud. The screen’s backlight produces 140 cd/m², which is sufficient for indoor control rooms while avoiding the higher demand of daylight-readable panels. These interface and power characteristics make the device suitable for machine fronts where modest power budgets and standard connectivity are required.
