Product Description:
The 4PP065.0571-P74F is a compact Power Panel produced by B&R Automation for the 4PP Power Panels series. It combines a PLC-class CPU with an integrated operator display, so it can execute machine logic and present status data without an additional computer. By merging control and visualization functions, the unit simplifies cabinet layouts in packaging, material-handling, and general automation cells. This integrated format also reduces interconnections between the control section and the local operator interface.
The computing section is led by a Geode LX800, 32-bit x86 processor running at 500 MHz, and this clock rate is adequate for deterministic task execution on real-time operating systems. Program variables reside in 128 MB DDR SDRAM, while application code is stored in 4 MB of onboard Flash. Removable media can be added through a CompactFlash Type I slot, which is useful for recipe transfers or local file storage. The 5.7-inch interface, specified at 5.7 in (144 mm) diagonal, uses a TFT color panel and an analog-resistive touchscreen so operators can issue commands with a gloved finger or stylus. Communication with higher-level networks is provided by one RJ45 10/100BASE-T Ethernet port, and deterministic fieldbus traffic is handled by a dedicated RJ45 100BASE-T Powerlink channel. Two USB 2.0 Type A connectors support external keyboards, memory sticks, or barcode scanners. Volatile user data such as counters is retained in 232 kB of battery-backed SRAM.
The front bezel carries 10 discrete function keys that can be mapped to frequently used operations, and the analog-resistive touch surface registers single-point inputs accurately even when contaminants are present. Visual clarity is maintained by a luminance of 500 cd/m², and graphics are rendered at 320 × 240 px so alarms and process values remain legible. The front face is rated IP65, which blocks dust and low-pressure water jets and makes the panel suitable for wash-down machine doors. The combination of keypad access and touchscreen input supports local interaction without requiring a separate operator station.
