The 4PP065.0351-P74 is an operator interface produced by B & R Automation as part of the 4PP Power Panels series. By merging a display, keys, a touchscreen, and an embedded controller, the panel provides on-machine visualization and control for packaging lines, compact cells, and standalone stations. Once installed, it permits recipe entry, alarm acknowledgment, and process supervision without an external PC, reducing wiring and cabinet depth requirements for the builder.
The front surface carries a 3.5 in (89 mm) TFT color screen that delivers 400 cd/m² of luminance at a native resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Operators can use the analog resistive touchscreen for direct selections or rely on 30 membrane keys when gloves are worn. The bezel meets IP65 / NEMA 250 Type 4X, so wash-down and dust exposure do not compromise the electronics. One 10/100BASE-T RJ45 Ethernet port supports standard TCP/IP networks, while a separate 100BASE-T RJ45 POWERLINK port provides deterministic real-time communication to B&R drives and I/O. Two USB 2.0 Type A receptacles allow project uploads, data logging, or barcode reader attachment.
Computation is handled by a Geode LX800 32-bit x86 processor clocked at 500 MHz. Application code and the operating system run in 128 MB DDR SDRAM, with 232 kB of battery-backed SRAM reserved for retentive variables. Typical operation draws only 10 W, which supports fanless cooling and simplified power budgeting inside the enclosure. The electronics accept a control supply of 24 VDC ±25%, giving tolerance for voltage drops during machine starts. The panel can host compact HMI projects, manage fieldbus traffic, and store historical data within its available processing and power envelope.
