Product Description:
The 4PP045.0571-K47 is a human-machine interface produced by B & R Automation as part of the 4PP Power Panels series. Designed for machine-mounted installation, it merges control logic and graphic visualization in a single compact unit. Operators can set parameters, run diagnostics, and oversee production sequences from the panel on automated lines.
This panel accepts a regulated supply of 24 VDC ±25%, allowing it to share the same low-voltage bus used by sensors and actuators. Its housing measures 203 × 145 × 55 mm, giving a shallow profile that fits standard cabinet doors. A 5.7 in diagonal TFT color screen renders process graphics, while the QVGA matrix of 320 × 240 pixels supports clear status icons and alarm texts. User input is gathered through ten tactile function keys placed below the display and an analog resistive touch layer that registers finger or stylus contact. Inside, the panel carries 64 MB DRAM for program execution and 48 kB of battery-backed SRAM that secures counters and recipe data at power-down. An external CompactFlash Type I slot offers removable storage for application files or logged data. Communication to higher-level systems is enabled by a 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet port, a full-duplex RS232 channel for legacy devices, and an X2X link presented on a 4-pin plug for distributed I/O racks.
For plant environments, the front bezel is rated IP65 front / IP20 rear, so wash-down sprays can strike the display while the rear remains inside a protected cabinet. Continuous operation is specified between 0 to 50 °C, letting the unit mount directly on machinery without forced cooling. A pair of 2 x USB 2.0 host connectors supports keyboards, flash drives, or wireless adapters. The enclosure relies on passive convection to remove internally generated heat, and integrated watchdog circuits supervise the 24 V supply to maintain program execution during voltage dips.
