The 4PP035.E300-01 is an operator panel with an integrated PLC manufactured by B&R Automation as part of the 4PP Power Panels series. The unit merges a graphic display, keypad, and controller in one housing so it can both host application code and present real-time process data. Its purpose is to serve as a compact control center on machines or production cells where local decision-making, status indication, and manual input must be delivered from a single front-mounted device. Because the display and control functions are combined, the panel can reduce the number of separate devices required at the machine interface.
Inside the panel, the CPU finishes every instruction in 0.8 µs, which allows rapid response to changing inputs. A monochrome LCD rated at 160 × 80 pixels and measuring 3 in diagonally provides basic graphics without high power draw. Sixteen digital inputs and sixteen digital outputs connect sensors and actuators, while twenty-six keys give the operator direct function access. Application programs reside in 1024 kB of FlashPROM, and working variables occupy 300 kB of SRAM. The electronics run from a nominal supply of 24 VDC and consume up to 6 W max, making the device suitable for low-current control cabinets. Physical dimensions of 153 × 120 × 46.1 mm allow the enclosure to fit shallow panel cutouts. This arrangement supports compact machine control and straightforward local operation without requiring a separate standalone PLC at the station.
A CAN interface supports trunk lengths up to 1000 m, enabling the panel to communicate with distributed nodes over a single shielded pair. Serial service links are handled through the RS-232 port, which reaches 115.2 kbit/s for parameter uploads or diagnostics. Each output channel can deliver a nominal current of 0.5 A, which is sufficient for indicator lamps or miniature relays without external amplifiers. The front membrane and display carry a protection rating of IP65, guarding against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets. This protected front surface supports installation where the operator station is exposed to routine splash or airborne dust. The assembly weighs 0.5 kg, which helps when the panel is mounted on light machine doors or swing arms.
